Week of 9/29/08

Computers:
Grades 3-6
This week we will continue to work in Microsoft Word to create tables. We will also use the Internet to get Clip Art for our projects. A keyboarding program -Typing Pal will also be introduced. Practice using the Home Row.

Grades K-2
This week the students will continue to log into our Brain Pop Jr. program. They will watch a video lesson on a certain topic, take a quiz on that topic and finally play a game that goes along with the lesson. The Paint program will also be used for more "mouse control" practice. Second Grade will also log into Typing Pal and learn the Home Row. A new program: www.starfall.com will be introduced next week.

Grades K-2
This week the students will log into our Brain Pop Jr. program. Remember to practice your user name and passwords for logging in! The Paint program will also be used for more "mouse control" practice.

Grades 3-6 This week we will Continue to work on our picnic terms. We also completed a Brain Pop activity that dealt with Blogs and searched the North Schuylkill web page: (http://www.northschuylkill.net/)

Grades K-2 After we practice our mouse control activity in Kiddonet, we will be using the Paint program. It would be a big help if you were familiar with the "tool" box before class. We will go over each of them in the lab before we create our "going back to school" poster.
